Why I Do What I Do

“You’re not just creating your own happiness, you’re showing other people it’s possible.” Unkown

A couple of days ago I reached over 100+ Capturefollowers which is an incredible achievement considering I didn’t think anyone apart from friends and family would read it so I want to say a huge Thankyou, Diolch, Gracias, Merci, Dhanyavadamulu, Dank u, Tack, Dankie, Kiitos, Arigatô, Terima Kasih, Takk, Grazie (I tried my best to say thank you in the languages of all those who have visited my blog from different countries) to every single person who has commented, liked, shared or followed Searching For My Inner Zen.
I thought this would be a great opportunity to share with you my “about me” for anyone who hasn’t already read it as I think its important to share with everyone why I write and share my thoughts with others all around the world.

“Just over 10 years ago I was lying in bed desperate for some help, feeling lost and on a downward spiral. I never thought I would reach the point of calling a helpline to get some support for how I was feeling but I am so glad I did as the lady on the other end of the phone gave me some valuable advice that got me to where I am today.

During my journey of healing I read books upon books about self-help and picked up some fantastic practices, but it was time-consuming and when you’re desperate for some help you don’t always have time to read a 300 page book to only pick up a couple of bits of advice. I then started surfing the web to find some simple but powerful tips that I could use daily to help me get out of my rut and although I found some great content it took a lot of different google searches to get there.

So here I am today a much wiser and mentally healthier version of myself and I want to give back my learning’s from the past 10 years in a simple easy to read way. I’m always looking for ways to share some positivity with the people around me, no matter if I spend 5 minutes or a lifetime around them. I also want to show my children that practising gratitude, showing compassion and helping others is just as important in life as using manners, getting an education and working.”

So whats next for me? Well I hope to keep expanding my followers so I can continue to do what I feel is my purpose in life which is to help, inspire and motivate others to live the best life they can.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported me! xo

  7. Giving is one of the best ways of living. I think it is pretty natural to our core. I’m finding most overcomers are the same. They are those that move to the place where what they once suffered now becomes the impetus to move into helping to positively change the life of others.

Thanks for becoming one of these movers and shakers.

I just entered the blog world and it is a barrel of fun. I wish I had done this years ago. So many stories I have read and all of them are amazing. I’m happy I stumbled on to yours. I’m beginning to see that is how we find each other. We take a little trip, we stumble and fall and end up in someones world. Cool!!!
